The club was founded in 1986, and the building of the golf course started in 1988. Due to public funding and a lot of voluntary work by the members, the club succeeded in completing the construction work in 1994.

 

Today Nes Verk Golfpark is a favourite among many Norwegian golfers. The club offers a 18-hole ondulated course of high standard (par 72), a challenging 9-hole Pay & Play course (par 27, 973 m.), driving range, chipping area and a putting green.

 

For admission to the 18 hole course the charge is 500/550 NOK per day (NOK 250/275 for juniors). The fee for 9 holes is 310/340 NOK (NOK. 155/170 for juniors).

Greenfee for the Pay & Play course is 250 NOK per day (NOK 125 for juniors).

Inexperienced golfers and those without any golf experience may play this P & P Course.

Half sets of golf clubs can be rented in the club house/golf shop for the price of 60 NOK per day.

 

The Driving Range is open for everyone to use. A bucket with 40 range balls costs 40 NOK.

Clubs can be borrowed in the club house/golf shop.

 

We offer all necesarry golf equipment.

Considerable discounts are given to juniors, youths and students.

For beginners who would like to start playing golf, the club organizes several "VTG" courses during the year.

Nesgrenda Vel has cleared and marked many courses for hiking in the area. If you go on a hike in this area you will find beautifull scenary and a lot of interesting activities. In the lakes and in the river there are many good places for swimming.

Storelva which runs through Nes Verk, has a good stock of salmon and trout if you are interested in fishing.

Fishing cards can be bought at a reasonable price at the local store Joker Nes Verk.

 

Exit from E-18 to Rv. 418 by Statoil station, Fiansvingen (signposted to "Næs Jernverksmuseum" / "Golfbane 3"). Follow Rv. 415 to Nesgrenda. Whereafter you mak a left turn (still signposted). Immediately past Næs Jernverksmuseum (Naes Ironwork museum) you arrive our relatively large carpark on the left side. (May be pretty crowded during the season)
